I grew up on an island, and I love diving, lobstering, spear fishing and harvesting tropical fish for our tank.As a child, the only rule for our fish tank was that we could never buy a fish for it; everything in it needed to be collected by us. I took it seriously, catching everything from moray eels to octopus, and spent each day fascinated by my close-up view of my local ocean.
When you are hunting for grouper or lobsters, you stick your head into holes that often include sea urchins. There they are, tucked tightly into crevices, and waiting patiently for night.
Their special beauty has always captivate me, and I find their proportions magnificent.
For this ring, I turned the stones upside down, pointy side up, and created as dense of a geometry as possible.Focus on the stones, and you will see a set of patterns, focus on the gold and you will see others. This checkerboard of black and white highlights this design, and I hope it captivates you as well.
This ring is glamourous.Wear it to be seen without reservations. The unfamiliar reflections of the upside stones shine bright in all directions.
Every Pharaoun Cocktail Ring is designed by me, Sergio Andrés Mendoza, and produced using the lost-wax casting technique in myworkshop out of sterling silver and then covered with 22 karat gold.
